About J.D. Malle

Jennifer Malle is a Cameroonian-Swedish fiction writer from Uppsala, Sweden.

Her current fantasy romance project was longlisted (1 of 16) in May 2026 for the Modern Stories: It Must Be Love competition by Headline Eternal (Hachette UK) and Curtis Brown Creative. Her thriller manuscript was shortlisted (1 of 7) in 2023 for the inaugural Penguin Michael Joseph Undiscovered Writers’ Prize, and in 2011, her Wattpad romcom reached over 1 million reads during the platform’s early years.

She graduated from the University of Reading with a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature before working in PR and tech marketing. She also worked as a scripted development intern and office assistant at DNA Films, where she earned her first-ever book credit in the limited edition #25 Trainspotting by Jay Glennie for organising and digitising photos and documents from the making of the film Trainspotting (1996).

She currently writes full-time in London, UK, where she lives with her husband.
